Plitvice Lakes National Park is located in the central part of Croatia. It owes its name to several karst water reservoirs, which are arranged in cascades, creating a picturesque landscape of dykes, waterfalls and cascades as well as impressive rock formations surrounded by lush vegetation. There are special routes for tourists in the park, who have numerous bridges, decks and wooden footbridges at their disposal. The park is one of the most beautiful places in Croatia and its lakes are characterised by clear, turquoise water.
