The Dunajec is a 247-kilometer mountain river, which is formed in the town of Nowy Targ. There is the confluence of the two source rivers – the White Dunajec and Czarny Dunajec. The river forms the Polish-Slovak border for 17 km, flowing through the Pieniny Mountains. Raft and kayak rides are organized on both sides of river. Tourists may visit the Slovakian village of Červený Kláštor that lies on the Dunajec river, there are well-developed tourist amenities, including a marina for raftsmen. The area of the river is a paradise for walkers and cyclists as it offers spectacular scenery all year round.
