Cactus plants are succulents originating in America, distinguished, among others, by the reduced form of leaves, reminiscent of thorns, sharp spikes and even delicate, long hairs. As potted plants they are an impressive home decoration, mainly due to interesting spherical or cylindrical shapes of shoots and the ease of cultivation. Cacti are undemanding plants that look beautiful on a sunny window sill, planted in a slightly acidic soil. They are a great alternative to forgetful people, because they need only a bit of water to survive.
