Pan-American highway is the road connecting the countries of both Americas, starting in the north of Alaska, going through Central America and finishing in the south of Argentina. In reality it is a network of connected roads and highways. The total length of the whole way (from Arctic Circle in Alaska to the town of Ushuaia in Argentina) equals 25750 km. The Alaskan part of the highway goes from Arctic Circle in Canada to Delta Junction in Alaska and is called the Alaskan Highway. The Highway was built in 1942 by the American army. Its total length is 2237 km.
