Moserboden is a beautiful mountain barrier lake, located in the Kaprun region at the height of over 2000 m. It is supplied by meltwater from the Pasterze Glacier in the High Tauern National Park. It is surrounded by the picturesque Moserboden summits and is a great attraction - there are numerous tourist routes leading there which are very nicely located. It is also a very important point on the energetic map of Austria - there are two dams and a water power plant built on the lake.
