For that reason the production process of shoes, clothing, furniture etc. was significantly extended – due to that the price of those products was also higher. Since the times of the Industrial Revolution the market is dominated by the mass production items and handicraft products are quite often considered as a luxury, especially if they are designed and made for an individual client.
