Cusco is the city that is surrounded by colorful summits located in the valley of the Peruvian Andes. It was established in the middle of the 11th century by the Inca leader – Manco Capaca. The name of the city in direct translation means “the hub of the universe”. One of the most important historic monuments in the cathedral in Cusco, which is also called the Santo Domingo cathedral. The construction of the temple was started in the middle of the 16th century, however, it was finished a century later, in 1654. The church was being built by the Spanish colonists. Cusco has been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site List.
