The station building was built in 1885. The official opening of the railway line from Ostrowiec took place on January 15, 1885. It was then the end station of the Iwanogrodzko-Dąbrowska Railway branch. Later, the line was extended to Bodzechów, and in 1915 to Sandomierz. A settlement grew up around the railway station, which in 1907 had 16 houses and was inhabited by 249 people.
