The station building was built in 1885. The official opening of the railway line from Ostrowiec took place on January 15, 1885. It was then the end station of the branch of the Iwanogrodzko-Dąbrowska Railway. Later, the line was extended to Bodzechów, and in 1915 to Sandomierz.
