Peratallada is a Spanish town located in Catalonia, in the province of Girona. It takes about a quarter of an hour to get from the town to the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The name of the town means “carved stones” – in order to explain the origin of the name it is enough to have a look at the town’s architecture: most of the buildings originated in the Middle Ages, they were built of stones that are colored characteristically for the region.
