Charleston is the second-largest city of South Carolina. It was founded in the second half of the 17th century under the protection of the English king Charles II. The city is known not only for its abundant history and numerous monuments but also for flowers – from the end of February to the end of April it is decorated by blooming azaleas, camellias, forsythias and blooming fruit trees. They may be admired not only on plantations and city parks, but also in back yards.
