Ronda is a small Andalusian town located on a high cliff, spreading over the El Tajo ravine. Two thousand five hundred years ago there was a Celtic settlement. The original name of the town – Izn-Rand Onda was given by the Moors. The present-day housing of the town is typically Spanish: there are mostly small, white houses. Puente Nuevo is one of the most characteristic structures of the town – it is a large bridge, over a hundred meters long from the 18th century. The bridge, together with the two smaller bridges, spans two parts of this unique town, which has both Roman and Arabic origins.
