Cinque Terre is the portion of coast comprising five charming towns on the Italian Riviera. Monterosso, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Manarola and Vernazza are located on steep cliffs, from which there is a beautiful view on azure waters of the bay. The hills are overgrown by lush Mediterranean vegetation, which contrasts with rows of pastel tenement houses built on the slopes. The towns are willingly visited by tourists who walk along narrow, steep streets, eat in local taverns and relax on intimate beaches. The town of Vernazza is one of the most willingly chosen Cinque Terre places. Tourists may admire there the 14th-century Santa Margherita di Antiochia church with a characteristic dome, situated just by the coast of the Ligurian Sea.
