Yokohama is the second largest city of Japan and its largest sea port. It is located in the south-east of the island of Honshu, not far from Tokyo. Yokohama is considered as the cradle of cybernetics and technology, as well as the most industrialized city in the world. Despite the fact that the city was founded at the end of the 19th century and its residents made their living from agriculture and fishing, it grew very quickly into one of the world’s largest megapolis. There are the Japan’s highest skyscraper – Yokohama Landmark Tower, which is over 295 meters high, as well as 29 other skyscrapers with the height exceeding 100 meters.
