San Diego is a large and prosperous city located on the Pacific Ocean in the state of California. San Diego is the business, industrial and scientific center, nevertheless, there are also numerous tourist attractions. The city has a warm, mild climate which favors spending time on the beach. There are also fabulous amusement parks: SeaWorld San Diego, San Diego-La Jolla Underwater Park and Legoland. The whole family will surely enjoy sightseeing the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, i.e. the 19th-century town in which westerns used to be shot. Some of the buildings situated in San Diego are worth visiting mostly due to the military traditions of the city, among others the city hosted the marines and the naval base. In the city center there are the 19th-century tenement houses, what is more, some parts of the old districts still have gas streetlights. Nevertheless, the urban landscape is dominated by modern skyscrapers and buildings that are higher than 100 meters.
