Cape Town is a city located on Table Bay in South Africa. Table Mountain is one of the landmarks of the city, which can be reached by a cable car. There is also Robben Island located nearby – it is an island-prison, in which Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. Today the island is a kind of a historic monument, whereas the museum that has been created there is visited by tourists who arrive there by ferries. Due to its location, Cape Town has been a port settlement since the 17th century. Today the site of the old port is occupied by the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. This part of the city is most frequently visited by tourists, it is full of restaurants, hotels and boutiques. There are also museums, an amphitheater, a huge observation wheel and the Two Oceans Aquarium.
