Alsace is a picturesque historic region located in France on the river Rhine. It covers the north-eastern part of the country, reaching the border with Germany and Switzerland. An idyllic town of Guebwiller is located in the department of Haut-Rhin. The town resembles many other Alsatian towns with narrow cobbled streets and pastel facades of houses, as well as traditional wooden shutters and colorful flowerbeds. Guebwiller has several valuable monuments of religious architecture (including the church of Saint-Léger from the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries), the Town Hall and the German-French military cemetery. The town is surrounded by vineyards.
