Griffith Park is a large municipal park situated on the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, in the US state of California. Griffith Observatory that was opened in 1935 is one of the park’s main attractions. The facility is perfectly equipped and for that reason it is visited by both ordinary tourists and true enthusiasts of astronomy. Tourists may also see there the Foucault pendulum, the museum of astronomy and a telescope. Griffith Observatory has a breathtaking planetarium, however, the green areas of the park, from which you can admire the skyline of the city, are equally stunning.
