Ko Chang is the third largest island in Thailand, although it is not a big island at all. It is located on the east coast of the country near the border with Cambodia. Ko Chang is a beautiful place, the entire island is covered by wooded hills and numerous waterfalls. Moreover, 85% of its area is part of the National Marine Reserve. The island is known primarily for its natural resources and it is nature that attracts tourists here, however, there are also interesting examples of local architecture located on the island. These include the lighthouse, which differs from their western counterparts with its oriental look.
