Kilometre Zero in Bucharest (Romania) online puzzle
Kilometre Zero monument is located in the center of Bucharest next to St. George’s church. The distances to other cities in Romania are measured from this point. The monument was sculpted by Constantin Baraschi in 1938. The foundation of the sculpture is divided by a wind rose into eight parts, each of them dedicated to one of the historic provinces of Romania represented by their coats of arms. The monument itself is shaped into a traditional astrolabe and is decorated with the signs of the zodiac.
