Vilnius is a large Lithuanian city, the capital of the country and an important cultural, religious, scientific and touristic center that is full of priceless historical sites. The Old Town of Vilnius was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1994, however, the capital is also home to modern housing and business districts. The financial district of Šnipiškės located on the right side of the river Neris is one of them. The 148-meter skyscraper Europa Tower is situated in the district. Nearby there is the 101-meter Mindaugas Bridge that was opened in 2003. The name of this modern bridge refers to the name of the thirteenth-century king of Lithuania.
