Truro is a town located in the south-west part of England, the capital of Cornwall and most important town in the region - the administrative and cultural center. The neo-Gothic cathedral designed by John Loughborough Pearson in the late 19th and early 20th century is the most recognizable historic monument in Truro. The 76-meter cathedral dominates the landscape of the town and serves many important functions in its life. It is not only the place of worship, but within its walls you will find a cafe and gift shop, moreover, it also focuses a part of cultural life of Truro – there are concerts and literary evenings held, as well as charity actions or events for children and seniors.
