Rundāle Palace (Latvia) online puzzle
Rundāle baroque palace in Courland, the former seat of Ernst Johann von Biron, a favorite of Empress Anna Ivanovna, is called the Latvian Versailles. The eighteenth-century residence was designed by Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli. The stately residence with a characteristic yellow-white façade is now a museum. Visitors can admire the interiors of dozens of richly decorated rooms. The building is surrounded by French gardens with neatly trimmed grass and hedges, which – along with colorful carpets of flowers – create unique compositions.
