From the 12th century to 1772, the village belonged to the Krokowski family. After the Polish line of the family expired at the end of the 18th century, Krokowa passed into the hands of a Germanized line using the name von Krockow. The palace was built from the fourteenth century and acquired its present shape in the eighteenth century. In 1945, when the owners were forced to move to Germany, in 1990 it was restored by a Polish-German foundation, which also includes the former owners.
