Baguette is the name that refers to wheat bread of an elongated shape and golden crispy crust. This type of bread is associated with French cuisine and is one of the most recognizable symbols of the country of origin. Baguettes were initially baked for the army – a thin and elongated loaf was easy to transport, it could be even put into a pocket.
