Moraine lake is a post-glacial water area, most frequently it is quite large, however, not very deep. There are beautiful glacial lakes all over the world and North America is not an exception. The Moraine Lake that is located in the Banff National Park in the Canadian part of the Rocky Mountains can be used as an example. The lake is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks and is surrounded by dense forests, however, its sky-blue surface is visible even from afar. The Banff National Park is full of breathtaking views: snow-covered peaks contrast with greenery of lush vegetation. Apart from post-glacial lakes there are also hot springs.
