Capri is an Italian town located in the region of Campania. The town is situated on a mountainous island of the same name. The island is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, on the south side of the Gulf of Naples near the Sorrentine Peninsula. Capri is frequently visited by tourists and famous people who appreciate Mediterranean climate and beautiful landscapes. There are numerous caves and grottos, including the famous Blue Grotto (Italian: Grotta Azzurra). The local color of the island is enriched by ubiquitous colorful cascades of flowers called bougainvilleas, which creep up the walls of the buildings, hang from windows, planters and balconies. These impressive plants with intensively purple petals decorate many Italian towns and villages.
