The common squirrel lives in hollows that get stuck with lichens and mosses, or bird nests, by adding a roof or builds nests from branches. These nests are built in the canopy of trees, usually in the fork of a branch. He builds them from grass and small twigs and covers them with mosses. It is active during the day, especially in the morning and afternoon. He lives a lonely life, rarely mates. It does not hibernate, but it can limit leaving the nest.
