Bees are small Hymenoptera insects. Entomologists distinguish many thousands of species of these flying arthropods, however, honeybee is the most famous. It collects pollen of flowers and thus pollinates plants. Bees produce honey from nectar and honeydew, they have two pairs of wings, three pairs of legs and a sting. These yellow insects create a fairly complex social structure called a swarm, headed by the queen. Apart from the queen, the hive is inhabited by worker bees and drones. For centuries honey produced by bees has been considered to be an extremely valuable substance with delicious taste and medicinal qualities.
