Halloween is a traditional Anglo-Saxon holiday observed on October 31, which is a day before All Saints' Day. Halloween traditions require earlier preparations, which concentrate mostly on manual preparing of the holiday symbols. The most important of these symbols is undoubtedly Jack-o’-Lanterd, which is a lamp made of a carved pumpkin. That lamp was a will-o'-the-wisp for the Irish and was perceived as souls of the dead. Today the lamps are placed in windows, by doors etc., they are also carried around during the Halloween parades.
