Nexø is a town on the Danish island of Bornholm. This fishing town owes its development to the emergence of a thriving port, fish processing plants, as well as herring and salmon smokehouses. Today the town makes also big profits from tourism. Nexø is a port of call for passenger ferries linking the island of Bornholm with Kołobrzeg and Darłowo in Poland, as well as for private yachts and motor boats. Near the port there is a characteristic yellow building of a museum. Thanks to a quarry located outside the town, most of the buildings in Nexø have been built of sandstone.
