Tejn lies on the north-eastern coast of the island of Bornholm. Formerly, it was a small fishing village, however, today the town boasts one of the largest harbors on the island, offering perfect conditions for sailors and cruise ships passengers. Some residents of Tejn are still employed in fish processing industry, but the town derives more and more profits from tourism, including hiring of holiday homes, as well as restaurants and pubs. The fishing traditions of the settlement are visible in commercial fishing and the annual Trolling Master Bornholm.
