Cape Town is the city of specific geographical location. It was founded near the Cape of Good Hope (formerly known as: Cape of Storms) by the Dutch sailors in the middle of the 17th century. Thanks to them Cape Town acquired the position of the point connecting the three continents: ships sailing from Western Europe to the Asian ports used to dock there. It is the oldest city of the Republic of South Africa. The Dutch used to bring Asian slaves to the city who later started pairing with the local black inhabitants as well as with the descendants of the white settlers, creating the group of the so called Cape Coloureds.
