Warehouse is a historic district of Cleveland that is located in the north-east of the United States. In the first half of the 19th century, due to the rapid development of the industry, a district of industrial plants and large warehouses was established in the suburbs of Cleveland. It became the region's largest wholesale center. However, after a hundred years of prosperity the district began to decline and for several decades it was going into ruin. It was only in the 1980s when the district was newly discovered by artists, who were looking for cheap apartments for studios, galleries and places of social gatherings. Thanks to them the Warehouse has become a fashionable place, vacant warehouses have been renovated and adapted to new functions. Clubs, restaurants and trendy apartments have been created in the former halls.
