Hong Kong is a port city located on the east coast of China on the South China Sea. The city is located on a peninsula and numerous islands surrounding it. It is also one of the most modern and most populous cities in the world. However, despite the fact that there are almost 6.5 thousand people on a square kilometer, buildings account for only one-quarter of the city. The rest of the city is occupied by green areas, parks and nature reserves. Such use of space is possible thanks to the latest technology, which makes it possible to build multi-storey high-rise buildings that contain not only offices and corporate headquarters but also flats. Therefore Hong Kong combines urban architecture with the beauty of the local wildlife.
