Charterhouse of San Giacomo (Italy) online puzzle
The Carthusian monastery on the island of Capri funded by the royal secretary Giacomo Arcucci was erected in 1371. At the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, the charterhouse was rebuilt after pirate invasions and fire. It was also surrounded by defensive walls. The two courtyards, around which the monks' cells were located, are the heart of the complex. Currently, in the monastery houses a school, library and a museum where you can, among others, admire the paintings of Wilhelm Diefenbach.
