Apollo Bridge in Bratislava (Slovakia) online puzzle
The Apollo arched bridge located in the capital of Slovakia was opened in 2005 as the fifth Bratislava bridge. It spans the Danube banks and was designed by Miroslav Maťaščík. The modern construction was appreciated by the American Association of Civil Engineers and was honored with the prestigious OPAL Awards 2006. The characteristic structure of the bridge is dominated by a white and blue arch connected to the lower part of the footbridge with steel ropes. The name of this bridge refers to the old refinery "Apollo", which is located nearby.
