Among the most recognizable buildings of the capital of Lithuania there are the Cathedral of St. Stanislaus, the 16th-century Gate of Dawn, the Church of St. Michael and Bernardine Monastery as well as the university. Since 1994, Vilnius Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
