Moulay Idriss is a town in Morocco, located at the top of the hill called Rif. Its name originates from the name of Moulay Idriss, the king of Morocco (in the center there is the king’s mausoleum). The town is considered by the Muslim as a holy one (still in the first half of 20th century “infidels” were not allowed to enter the town). What is interesting, due to the town’s religious nature there are practically no accommodation and entertainment facilities (hotels, cinemas, pubs, etc.). However, there are various Islamic (mosques, Koranic schools) and state institutions.
