The Lofoten Archipelago is located in the Norwegian Sea. It consists of many small islands of volcanic origin with a mountainous topography. The towering tops of the rocks and deep fjords cutting into the land create the unique landscape of this place, especially appreciated by the enthusiasts of sailing. Most of the yacht cruises around the Lofoten Archipelago begin at the port located in Tromsø, the biggest city in the north of Norway called the Gates of the Arctic. In addition to visiting other settlements such as Lodingen, Reine and Sørvågen, visitors to the archipelago can go fishing, trekking or canoeing.
