Panorama of Saint Petersburg (USA) online puzzle
It is not difficult to guess that the name of the city of Saint Petersburg in the American state of Florida originated from one of the largest Russian cities – Saint Petersburg in western Russia (today they are twin cities). The city was founded by a Russian immigrant Peter Demens who was born as Pyotr Alexeyevitch Dementyev. When he was 31 years old he left homeland trying to fulfill his American dream. He set off for New York with an English dictionary and a bit of cash. He started developing his own business near a small town with a railway station – the neighborhood was gradually developing and Peter named it to honor the city where he had spent a significant part of his former life.
