Colorful street on Burano (Italy) online puzzle

Burano is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. The place is known as the island of lace and colors. The lace manufacturing has been developing there since the 16th century and the Burano’s lace was known all over Europe. Nevertheless, today tourists are most impressed by colorful houses, which create the unique mood of this place. According to the legend, people living on the island painted their houses in bright colors so that it would be easier to recognize them in fog, when they were coming back from the sea after fishing. Today facades painted in bright colors are only the local tradition, and everyone who wants to repaint his/her house has to have a consent of the local authorities to use a particular color. Thanks to such limitations the panorama of the town has been colorful for centuries.
