The city of Rovinj (Croatia) online puzzle
Rovinj is a historic Croatian city located on the Istrian peninsula on the Adriatic Sea. The city has an extremely rich history: it belonged successively to the Roman Empire, Byzantium, the Carolingian Empire, Republic of Venice, Austrian Empire, Italy and finally after World War II it became a part of Croatia. The fishing settlement was initially located on an island, which was connected in 1763 to the mainland. Rovinj is now a popular resort loved by tourists and sailors, called the Croatian Saint Tropez.
