Jellybeans are a delicacy, which is popular not only among children, but also adults. They are mainly made of sugar, glucose syrup and pork gelatin. The right color and aroma is obtained by the use of various additives, for example fruit juices and dyes. They come in many shapes and flavors, usually sweet and sour, rarely milky or spicy. The history of jellybeans dates back to the 19th century and the first attempts to combine heated sugar with acacia tree resin, or so-called gum arabic. The first jellybean in the form of a teddy bear was created in 1922 by Hans Riegel.
