The cow in India is considered a sacred animal. In Europe and America female domestic cattle are raised mainly for their milk or meat. Cows usually graze in the open air, eating grass. Cow droppings are a natural fertilizer, and sometimes even heating fuel. The breed of Jersey cows have been enjoying great popularity recently, these cows have a characteristic "fringe" on top of their heads. The milk from these animals is very nutritious, has a lot of fat and protein. Its qualities are particularly appreciated by farmers and breeders from Denmark.
