Ruins of Ogrodzieniec Castle (Poland) online puzzle
The first stronghold in Ogrodzieniec was built as early as in the 12th century, however, the castle’s form admired by tourists today is the result of restoration sponsored by the castellan of Cracow Stanisław Warszycki, the most famous owner of the castle. Nevertheless, he is best remembered not only for his wealth and restoration of the rundown castle, but also for his greed and cruelty. The folk oral traditions mention the castellan, who was so greedy that before his death he hid all the riches so that his heirs would not get anything. His riches have not been found until the present day and it is believed that castellan’s ghost, assuming a look of a large black dog with blazing eyes, guards the treasure.
